Sharp edges and unexpected color combinations collide in this pleasing palette. Pastel peach CREATE .01 and robin’s egg blue SPROUT .01 lose their sweetness when combined with brassy BEESWAX .04 and contemporary coral CLAY .07. Try layering these hues together in a geometric wall pattern in your home office. Create a colorful, non-traditional look in a typically uninspiring space. Believe us when we tell you- it will make working more fun!
You will need:
CREATE .01
SPROUT .01
BEESWAX .04
CLAY .07
1″ or 2″ paint brush
Blue painter’s tape
Drop cloth to protect your floor
X-Acto knife
Ruler
Level
Pencil
Measure 36″ above your desktop. Using your pencil and level, draw a line across the length of your desk.
Cut a 9” triangle out of cardboard. Choose the location for your biggest triangle- we put ours is 12” in from the left side of the desk. Trace first triangle- aligning top of triangle cut out with the pencil line. Compile 4 triangle shapes to make 1 big one. Trace triangles on either side and top of bottom of your big triangle in a pleasing pattern.
Starting with your biggest triangle, tape off on the lines. Be sure to put the tape on the outside of your pencil lines to minimize touch up.
Important tip: Seal the tape with the color of the wall underneath to ensure a straight edge. The bleed thru from the tape will be unnoticable since it matches the wall underneath. We used IMAGINE .02 as the color on our office wall.

Start filling in the triangles, being sure that the paint on the adjoining triangle is dry to the touch before putting tape over it. You can use a hairdryer to speed the process. This whole project took us less than 2 hrs- thanks to some hot air!

Overlap triangles on top of one another for a more dynamic pattern.
Stand back and admire your work!
Now get back to work- in a colorful office!
